Republic Services will send a mailing containing information and instructions for ordering no-cost wheeled carts with lids to residents. Refuse containers, garbage bags, and yard waste bundles may not exceed 50 lbs.
Yard waste starts the first full week in April and runs thru the second full week in December only. A special collection period for Christmas trees and greenery will be available throughout the month of January.
Smaller brush and yard waste can be placed into biodegradable yard waste paper bags not to exceed 30 gallons in capacity or 50 pounds in weight.
Larger brush piles must be bundled using garden string or twine. The bundle size is restricted to 4’ in length, 2’ diameter, and no heavier than 50 pounds. Branches cannot exceed 3” in diameter.
Branches or stumps larger than 3” in diameter cannot be placed in the landscape waste bags; they must be handled with regular refuse. Weight is limited to a maximum of 50 pounds. Explosive and volatile waste will not be collected.
Household hazardous wastes, including chemicals, insecticides, herbicides, fertilizers, oil, paint, varnishes, strippers, solvents, and similar items should be used up completely. The empty container may then be disposed of as refuse. Such containers may not be placed in recycling bins, even if they are rinsed out. To have hazardous components of used appliances removed for recycling, residents should contact the store from which the item was purchased. They may be able to pick up appliances when the new appliance is delivered. Learn More....
