The Emergency Alert Program allows citizens to receive alerts for emergencies and other important community news. The emergency notification system enables residents to be provided with critical information quickly in a variety of situations, such as the village’s response to severe weather occurrences, critical road closures, missing persons, and the potential evacuation of buildings or neighborhoods.

Landlines in Schaumburg are automatically enrolled in the Emergency Alert Program and cannot be removed. However, the village encourages residents to create an account within the system so they can register their cell phone or email address if they prefer to be contacted via those methods or through text. Participants can always remove those devices by accessing their account at any time. All information will be kept strictly confidential.
