The public is welcome to join the Committee on Aging from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 7 to participate in safety presentations that will be offered by the Schaumburg Police and Fire Department. Information will be provided by Angela Walsh of the Fire Department who will be discussing fire and life safety topics important for today’s older adults including slips, trips and falls, which represent a high percentage of EMS calls, as well as cooking safety, the number one cause of home fires.
