The Village of Schaumburg offers discounted taxi service to qualified Schaumburg residents.
The program provides the following coupons:
- $5 off of the total fare when the taxi is used for medical purposes.
- $2.70 off the total fare for any other purpose.

Village of Schaumburg Transportation Department located at the lower level of the village hall at 101 Schaumburg Court.
What to Bring to Register
· Photo ID (Driver's License, State ID)
· Proof of enrollment in the Illinois Circuit

Qualifications to Receive a Taxi ID and Coupons
· Registered in the Illinois Circuit Breaker Program
· Resident of the Village of Schaumburg
· Senior (65 or older)
· Disabled (16 or older)
Registration for the Circuit Breaker Program
To register for the Illinois Circuit Breaker Program, you can go to the Schaumburg Township office at 1 N. Illinois Boulevard in Hoffman Estates (west of the Schaumburg Post Office at Schaumburg Road and Hilltop Drive).

Annual income requirements to be eligible for the Circuit Breaker Program
· $27,610 - for yourself
· $36,635 - for yourself and your spouse, or yourself and one qualified additional household resident
· $45,657 for yourself and your spouse and at least one qualified additional resident, or yourself and at least two qualified household residents
The taxi coupons may only be used if either the pick up or drop off location is in the Village of Schaumburg.
The taxi coupons can only be used with participating taxi companies - American, 303, and All-Star Cab. Contact numbers are printed on the back of each coupon.
