Projects with a running time of 10 minutes or less will be accepted.

Festival competition date is Saturday, April 28, 2011 at the Schaumburg Prairie Center for the Arts. Filmmaker must be present at festival (no substitutes allowed).

Entry fee is $10 per submission.

Only three submissions (i.e. projects) are allowed per person.

All projects should be submitted on DVD.

Primary Director and Writer must be a student in grade 5 - 12 (as of fall, 2012). Class and group projects are also accepted.

Only projects completed after January 1, 2011 are eligible for competition.

Categories include drama, comedy, nonfiction, experimental, animation and Music Video.

Production photographs and other supporting materials and information (i.e. bios) may be included with the application.

Permission and/or licensing rights for any music used in a project must be acquired from the publisher and/or composer. Read more about using music in your project.
- Screen Test reserves the right to withhold awards for any category where an award is not merited.

While the work submitted remains the property of the creating artist, the Village of Schaumburg reserves the right to use footage or stills from the project to promote the festival.

Materials may be returned upon request. Please include a self-addressed stamped envelope (with sufficient postage). The Village of Schaumburg cannot be held accountable for any items damaged during shipping.

All projects (DVDs, videotapes) must be labeled with title, director name and contact phone number.

Deadline for submission (postmark by): Monday, March 19, 2012.

All filmmakers will be notified regarding acceptance into the festival by Tuesday, April 17, 2017.
