The Irish Heritage Singers is one of the very few Irish/Irish American Choral ensembles in the United States, performing traditional Irish and Irish-American music including music by contemporary Irish choral composers.  The 45-member ensemble, under the direction of Mary Grimes-Kelly, has appeared Irish American Heritage Festival, Celtic Fest Chicago, Milwaukee Irish Fest, Long Grove Irish Fest, Chicago’s Newberry Library and the Chicago Cultural Center.
Poncho Sanchez Latin Jazz Band - Mar. 27, 2010 8:00pm - BUY TICKETS
Cuban percussionist Poncho Sanchez is a musical storyteller. And, as leader of the most popular Latin jazz group in the world today, it's his congas and seasoned ensemble that do the talking. Live in concert or on recordings, they spin vivacious tales that pay homage to the glories of a half-century tradition that was born when Afro-Cuban rhythms merged with bebop.  An evening with Sanchez and his Latin Jazz Band is, in the words of Jazz Review, “an experience that those in attendance will not soon forget.”

Schaumburg Dance Ensemble presents the original Middle Eastern tale of Aladdin and his magical lamp, brought to the stage in a sparkling adaptation that combines elements of ballet, contemporary and character dance.  Live narration keeps young audiences tuned into the storyline as the ensemble’s delightful and witty choreography leaves everyone captivated.

Special Event: Magic Lamp Tea Reception after each performance (except April 11, 5 pm).  Meet the characters from Aladdin while enjoying refreshments and cookies.  Separate ticket necessary; admission ($10) includes refreshments and souvenir.

Landecker and the Legends - Apr. 17, 2010 8:00pm - BUY TICKETS
The man who popularized the “Boogie Check” on AM radio in the ‘70s is back, not only on the air, but also on stage with his band the Legends.  Landecker will keep the good times rolling with “Hits and Bits” from the past, new parody songs, and plenty of audience participation.  Think of it as a rock ‘n retro party that you hope will never end.
Screen Test Student Fest - Apr. 23, 2010 8:00pm - BUY TICKETS
What started as a small local film event has in only four years become the premiere showcase for young film and video artists from throughout the Chicagoland area.  Comedy, drama, animation, nonfiction and other genres are represented in the juried festival as students in grades 5 – 12 introduce their own projects and vie for awards.

Sitar player and composer Anoushka Shankar has emerged as one of the leading figures in World Music today. She is deeply rooted in Indian classical music, having studied exclusively with her father, the legendary Ravi Shankar, and is now one of the foremost performers in that tradition. In tandem with this, she has flourished as a performer and composer, exploring fertile ground in the crossover between Indian music and a variety of genres including electronica, jazz, flamenco and Western classical music.

The Peggy Lee Project - May 22, 2010 8:00pm - BUY TICKETS 
Singer Tish Oney delivers an amazing and insightful concert performance paying homage to a true musical legend:  Peggy Lee.  Oney goes beyond mere biography to reveal an artist with an unparalleled lyric style and an often underappreciated talent for composition.  Using her own arrangements of standard hits and lesser known gems, Oney is joined on stage by Lee’s former music director John Chiodini on guitar, Kendall Kay on drums and bassist Joel Hamilton to make this a memorable homage to Peggy Lee.
