Come and have up to two items appraised, and while you're here you can visit the 20 antique dealers who will be displaying their wares at the market. The only treasures you cannot have appraised are weapons.

Admission is $5, plus $5 for each item to be appraised (limit 2). Tickets for appraisal can only be purchased by calling the Prairie Center at 847-895-3600.

Radio personality and renown funnyman Steve Cochran hosts a night of comedy with the hilarious Patti Vasquez.  The quick-witted Cochran has held audiences in stitches alongside the likes of Jay Leno, Garry Shandling, and Jerry Seinfeld.   Chicagoan Vasquez – a frequent jokester on the radio with Cochran – has graduated from popular stints at Zanies Comedy Club to two hit one-woman shows:  Pregnant Party Girl: From Stoli’s to Stirrups and Mamacita: Tales of a Diaper Diva.

Alejandro Escovedo

An Alejandro Escovedo concert will find him playing for hours, draining himself and his audience with his performance.   His performances can feature full-on punk sets that suddenly stop on a dime and tear the room’s collective heart out with a sparse, harrowing confessional. In between, there may be lots of moments of him digging into the glam songbooks of Ian Hunter and David Bowie. Surely one can never know what to expect seeing Escovedo perform, but one will never get bored.
