American Indian Center's Trickster Gallery
Trickster Gallery is the only Native-owned and operated art gallery in Illinois. The gallery is dedicated to providing space for first-voice artists and features exhibits of contemporary and traditional native life by local and national native artists, performers, and authors. Exhibits include native art in many media including paint, sculpture and photography. workshops, school tours, concerts, and occasional pow-wows are also offered at the gallery. Every Friday night is Movie Night featuring native films at 6pm. This event is free to the public. There is also a gift shop offering jewelry and other hand crafted items by native people at the gallery.
