Millions of tons of residential electronic waste generated each year can be recycled.  The recycling process separates the metals, plastics and glass then sorts the reusable materials thus reducing the need for landfill space.  The Electronic Products Recycling & Reuse Act signed into Illinois Law, reads that residential computers, monitors, printers, and televisions are banned from landfills starting January 1, 2012.
